We at Resort Naaranlahti offer accommodation round the year in holiday houses and rooms/apartments in Saimaa Region, the largest lake district in Europe and the heart of Finnish Lakeland! If you are looking for pure Finnish lakes, well equipped holiday houses with own beach, rowing boat and privacy, you are most welcome! In addition to accommodation in holiday houses by the lake, you can stay in apartments or rooms with Bed & Breakfast, too.

Last but not least: We are proud to offer the various “must-try” activities in Finland: Fishing, rowing a boat, heating a sauna, breathing the cleanest air in the world, swimming in a lake with clear water, taking a walk in the forest, picking berries and mushrooms or riding horses and watching our other animals on the farm. Motorboats

You cant rent motorboat for a trip to islands of Lake Puruvesi, Saimaa. One of the clearist lake in Finalnd. Just for fishing or enjoying amazing lake and fresh air. A map and life jackets are included in the price. The deposit for rent is 500€. A fee for fuel is added to the price according to consumption.

Fishing

Resort Naaranlahti is located right by the Lake Puruvesi, which is famous of its clear water (transparency 11,2 m, color of water 6 PtCo) and outstanding fishing possibilities. The Lake Puruvesi provides excellent fishing environment with its scattered shorelines and numerous islands. Lake Puruvesi is part of Saimaa and itself has area of 320 km2 of open water. Lake Puruvesi attracts every year a great number of fishermen to catch salmon, northern pike, perch, lavaret, vendace, roach, ide/ orfe and bream.

We provide fishing guiding and trips to nature nearby throughout the year. We have professional facilities, equipment: rods, reels and lures, echolot, downrigger, floating suites and skills, which are ready for you to use and enjoy.

Canoes and kayaks

Naaranlahti´s wonderful nature enables a diverse activities. Beautiful lake scenery and a fantastic countryside give you a relaxing and unforgettable memories.

We have canoes for two persons and single/double kayaks available.

Gears (life jackets, map) are included in the price.

We provide guiding and trips during the summer.

Biking

Experience spectacular scenery while cycling. Peace brought by nature will follow you in the Finnish landscape and breath a fresh air.

You can rent bicycle from us and we will give you good tips and maps for amazing biking routes.

Hiking, picking up berries and mushrooms

We have amazing nature around the Naaranlahti! You can spend short or longer time in the forest and enjoy clean air with beautiful landscape.

Puruvesipolku is a new hiking trail, which goes through typical Finnish landscapes shaped by the ice age. The scenery varies from forests and lakes to agricultural countryside.

Treasures of forest is yours! You can find blueberries, lingonberries and many different mushrooms around the Naaranlahti.

Swimming in the lake with a horse

Horses are swam daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., May-September, weather permitting.

On a beautiful summer day, it is exciting to experience a horse swimming in the clear Puruvesi. The rider guides the horse while sitting on his back. Before and after swimming, the rider takes care of the horse, for example by brushing.

It takes about 30-45 minutes to swim and take care of the horse. If the rider has no previous experience, the horse will be leashed during the ride.

The level of competence in horse riding is moderate. Swimming skills are recommended but not mandatory.

We recommend wearing long pants. Shoes are left out for swimming.

Events, social gatherings and celebrations

Resort Naaranlahti offers premises and services both in indoor and outdoor environments for different events.

With our dining room (seating capacity 40 persons) in the main building, catering service and the accommodation capacity (+80 beds available) Resort Naaranlahti is a beautiful location in the Finnish countryside i.e. for social gatherings and family events.

Country style breakfast

A good day starts with a rich and tasty breakfast!

The county style breakfast includes tastes from the garden in the form of juices and jams, fish from Lake Puruvesi and stewed porridge, breads and cold cuts. Coffee and tea are included in the breakfast with a small sweet.

Accommodation in peaceful and relaxing environment

In Naaranlahti we offer accommodation in holiday houses, apartments and rooms with Bed & Breakfast in a peaceful and relaxing environment. All our holiday houses are well equipped and have their own beach and a rowing boat. The houses are located by the Lake Puruvesi, famous in Finland for its clear and pure water.

In total, we offer 13 holiday houses and 14 apartments, each accommodating 2-8 persons.
