Welcome to our Guesthouse!

You can find eight unique and cozy rooms. The house is located opposite the train station. Our restaurant is serving by orders.

The inn was built in 1901 by Herman Ulven and his wife Aleksandra Rasi, and they were granted rights to run a hostelry. Rights were granted a second time in Liekoranta in the 1920s. At the time, building the inn cost about 200 Finnish Marks, and much manual labour. Liekoranta got its name from Lake Liekovesi, which is on the courtyard side of the inn a stone’s throw away from the building. The shore was once part of Liekoranta, having been expropriated by the city. Businesses in Liekoranta have included the Ulven waterworks, post office, café and hostelry. Some form of food and lodging has been available continuously for more than 110 years.

We are very experienced in arranging drink and food services in events, for example mass catering, grand openings, festivals, outdoor events with visitors from hundreds to tens of thousands. We also carry out occasions with complete service, starting from designing the invitation cards and ending with transport after the festivities.
Following all the occasions of life! The host and the guests create the atmosphere and our catering service provides tasty food. In the hands of our skilled personnel your celebrations will be successful. Anniversaries, weddings, social receptions, galas – inside or outdoors – for a number of guests or for just the two of you: we’ll carry out the perfect arrangements according to your wishes.

Our on-demand restaurant hosts various private events and business events. The restaurant can accommodate more than 100 people at one time. A piano, audio equipment and a video projector are available. Events open to all are also held on various holidays.

With the assurance of our experience, we are happy to be involved in then planning and or course will deliver a smooth and memorable celebration. Planning serves can be started with examples or readymade menus or we can create a whole new menu based on your dreams.

We are happy to help with drink choices or other party details before and during the celebration.

It is easy to visit us! The house is located opposite the train station. We have parking spots with heating plugs for cars in our quiet courtyard. Bicycle storage in the video-monitored courtyard or, if necessary, in our locked outdoor storage.

Upstairs you can find eight unique and cozy rooms: one quadruple room with extra bed, 6 double rooms and one single room. The accommodation also includes a shared kitchen (fridge, microwave, coffee and kettle), sauna, large glazed terrace, washing machine and dryer.

Breakfast is available separately for an additional fee in our downstairs dining room. If necessary, we can also deliver breakfast supplies to the communal kitchen upstairs.
