The use of rowing boats and canoes is included in the cottage rent as are fishing equipment and various other outdoor activities.

We collaborate with local programme service companies so you are able to find activities according to your preference. We can organize transportation to Ruka Ski Resort and other attractions nearby for groups of all sizes. After an active day outdoors let the steam of the sauna relax your mind and body. Ukonkivi is equipped with modern conference technology, including two video projectors, flip charts, high- class sound system, wireless internet as well as print/copy machine.

The private restaurant Ukonkivi

Private restaurant Ukonkivi is built with very special Kelo logs in a traditional Finnish style which offers an intimate place for the most important moments of your life. Whether needing a location for business or fun, Ukonkivi is the perfect place to organize family gatherings, dinners as well as business meetings and corporate training events. From the window you can see the beautiful northern scenery changing with the four seasons, enchanting you again and again with its diversity.

We treasure the food traditions of past generations by combining them with modern cuisine and our original recipes. Using only the fresh and pure northern ingredients our chefs prepare the delicious food from start to finish. Our refined wine list consists of carefully selected wines which complement your dinner making it a truly delightful experience. We prepare delicious meals for your celebration, from small snacks to ala carte dinners. We offer also catering services – if you wish so, we will deliver food directly to your cottage or accommodation so that you can enjoy the special day without stress.

The dining hall of Ukonkivi seats approximately 100 people and offers an amazing setting for all kinds of parties. A traditional stone fireplace decorated with candles creates a warm atmosphere and on the terrace you can rest your eyes from the stunning lake view. We are very proud of our old wooden fishing boat that serves today as a unique buffet table for our guests.

Ukonkivi has its own fully- licensed bar. The restaurant is connected to a sauna- lounge suitable for 20 people, which can be booked in advance. One of the two saunas is a large traditional Finnish electric sauna, another one is a gentle steamy sauna. You may try both of the available saunas and relax in a cozy sauna-lounge by the fireplace. Outside under the starry sky there is a heated jacuzzi, where you can feel body and mind in full harmony. In winter you may see snowflakes and northern lights and in summer you may enjoy the hot summer day in refreshing bath. There are soft towels, slippers and sauna hats for you to spend a relaxing day in a traditional Finnish sauna with a touch of a luxury.

Accommodation with an experience

All the Oivanki chalets are located on the shores of beautiful lakes in the middle of a northern forest. All the surrounding lakes are known for their clean waters and fish variety. The log chalets of Oivangin lomakartano are suitable for company meetings, family celebrations or a holiday place for friends and family.

Saaga 1 and Saaga 2

High-class Saaga cabins are perfect for smaller groups as a holiday destination or party venue. Natural stone fireplace and cavernous open space of the living area with stone walls is ideal for relaxing by the open fire with family or friends. The large windows of the lodge open to beautiful lake Junga.

Singer

The handsome Singer Villa at Oivanki Lomakartano is ideally suited for larger groups as an inspiring party venue or holiday destination. The nine bedrooms comfortably accommodate a total of 19 people. The lofty log walls of the cavernous living space at Singer Villa glow in the warm evening sun.

Pikku-Junga

The 4-bedroom Pikku-Junga Cabin is located on Lake Junga. The cosy log cabin can accommodate up to 8 people. Warm up the sauna and enjoy winter evenings by the fireplace at the end of a day of skiing. In the well-equipped kitchen, you can cook for yourself, or enjoy a ready meal at Restaurant Ukonkivi.

Junga

Like its sister villa Singer, Junga Villa is ideal for larger groups as a party venue or holiday destination. Nine bedrooms with additional beds comfortably accommodate a total of 22 people. The bountiful Lake Junga is perfect for fishing all year round and the barbeque shelter on the beach is freely available for our guests to use.

Aurora

The five bedrooms of classy Villa Aurora can accommodate ten people, and the cavernous open space of the living area is ideal for relaxing by the open fire with family or friends. Aurora is also well suited as a party venue for small groups. The large windows of the log cabin open to pristine nature, and the glass-fronted upstairs viewing room offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy Northern Lights, the starry sky or midnight sun while sitting comfortably on the couch.
