Mäkelän Lomatuvat Cottages

These cottages, less than 15 minutes’ drive from Korkeakoski town centre, all feature their own sauna, terrace and cooking facilities. A private beach area of Lake Mäkelä is a few minutes’ walk away.

Conference sauna

Available for reservation is a large conference sauna that has just been completed, which can be booked for example for a work group or a group of friends. The sauna building is well-equipped, e.g. a living/fireplace room, a kitchenette, a dressing and shower room, two toilets, a large terrace with patio furniture and a gas grill. For an additional fee you can order a portable hot tub, evening snack, wellness-related treatments or product presentations in cooperation with local entrepreneurs.

Hot tub

A portable hot tub that can be reserved all year round which can be brought to both cabins and conference saunas.

Meeting services

Mäkelän lomatuvat cottages has meeting rooms for groups of 10-25 people. Coffee can be made in a soot pot, a short hike away in Laavumäki’s log cabin and enjoy the peace of nature at the same time!

Guided forest tour

The tour called “on the paths of green gold” takes about 2-4 hours. During the trip, you will get to know the management of economic forests, the development of the forests and the diverse possibilities of use, after which you will enjoy soot pot coffee. The trip can also be made shorter.

Equipment rental

You can rent bicycles from us, as well as snowmobiles, snowshoes and skis in the winter.

Cottage rental and bed & breakfast

Well-equipped cottages of different sizes by the lake are available for rent. All cottages are electrified, winter habitable and each has running hot and cold water. During summer, each cottage is equipped with its own rowing boat. You can bring pets to the cottages.

It is also possible to rent two larger buildings near the farm’s yard which are used as bed & breakfast facilities in farm tourism. B&B includes accommodation, bed covers, towels and breakfast. Half board includes dinner in the day of arrival or lunch on the day of departure, in addition to breakfast.
