Lomamokkila provides an excellent setting for a holiday in Savonlinna in the heart of the Lake Saimaa area.
You can choose Bed&Breakfast in rooms of high quality or enjoy peace and quiet in lakeside cottages all around the year.
We also offer delicious meals and use our own products.

Lake, forest and culture – Lomamokkila offers activities for everyone
On a summer day
In Lomamokkila you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a genuine farm.
You can play tennis, volleyball, badminton as well as table tennis in the farmyard.
We rent bicycles and tennis equipment.
There are fireplaces in the Lappish hut and by the lake.
Winter wonderland
During the winter season, there are skiing tracks and a snow mobile track in the surrounding area. You can also try tour skating (also known as Nordic skating).
In addition, you can rent a snow mobile or take part in a safari through our partners.
A glimpse into the farm’s history
An old storage building, built in 1810, has been converted into a small shop where you can find homemade socks and mittens as well as other products of the farm.
There is also a museum in an old barn which tells you about the history of the farm.
Going to the lake or forest?
It is about one kilometre from the main building to the lake.
There you can take a boat, try fishing, swimming or enjoy the warmth of the sauna and smoke sauna.
In the nearby forest you can try to find some berries and mushrooms.
Relax through yoga
We organise several yoga weekends in our other property, B&B Taipaleenniemi, throughout the year in co-operation with our partner, Yoga Saimaa.
You can also book a private lesson in Taipaleenniemi or Lomamokkila.
We recommend our guests to try the Outdoor Yoga Experience, for example on the sandy beach of B&B Taipaleenniemi or on a SUP board, or on the ice of frozen Lake Saimaa in the winter.
We also offer SUP (stand up paddle boarding) courses for beginners in Taipaleenniemi and Lomamokkila.
Delicious homemade food
In Lomamokkila, we serve breakfast and dinner in the main building.
The room price includes breakfast. If you are staying in the cottage, you can order it separately.
We prepare breakfast and dinner in our own kitchen, and most of the ingredients come from the farm and the producers of the surrounding area.
Delicious breakfast table includes homemade bread, rolls, and buns as well as many other sweet and savery pastries,
In addition, we serve other homemade delicacies such as berry juice and apple jam.
Dinner buffet served in summer
During the summer season on 13.6.-19.8.2023, dinner is served on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. There is a buffet during the opera season at 5.30 pm and at other times at 6 pm.
Please make dinner reservations in advance.
When reserving dinner, please inform us about food allergies and special diets.
Pancake Bar is the highlight of the week
During the summer season, the children of the family – Anna, Ella and Eero – serve delicious pancakes outdoors. Anna’s, Ella’s and Eero’s Pancake Bar is open on Thursdays and offers pancakes and other small snacks.
The pizzas prepared in the wood-burning oven taste wonderful while sitting outdoors. And if it rains, you can run to the porch for shelter.
It is also possible to just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and have a cool local beer or other refreshment.

You can choose either a romantic room in the main building or a cosy room in the guesthouse in the middle of the fields. The room price includes breakfast, bedlinen and final cleaning.
Guests staying in the rooms can use the kitchen in the Lappish hut, rowing boats as well as the saunas by the lake and on the farmyard.
There is free WiFi for all guests in the premises.

Would you prefer a fully equipped cottage or a traditional, modestly equipped summer cottage?
Every cottage has its own beach, rowing boat, sauna and bed clothes.
You have a possibility to order a baby cot, bed linen (sheets and towel) as well as the final cleaning from us.
You can also reserve breakfast and dinner, which are served in the main building.
Wi-Fi is available in the main building.
The Cottage Koivu offers perfect accommodation for two people.
Take a boat and a fishing rod and go for a small fishing trip near the cottage.
The Cottage Kaisla has a spacious yard where you can run, play games and enjoy sunny summer days.
The Cottage Poukama is situated in a small bay. The view over the lake is magnificent in the evening when the sun is setting.
The Cottage Kallio offers a beautiful view over the lake.
Imagine a campfire in the evening. a lovely sunset and delicious barbecue by the lake.
The Cottage Mänty is surrounded by gorgeous pines and the forest’s own delicacies such as strawberries, blueberries and lingonberries.
It is also a delight to tip into the water from the rocky beach.
The Cottage Hiekka is perfect for a small group of friends or a family who would like to enjoy easy-going cottagelife, warmth of the sauna and peaceful nature.
The Cottage Kallioniemi is surrounded by peaceful nature. Take a moment, have a seat on the rocky beach and enjoy a lovely sunrise in the morning and a wonderful sunset in the evening.
The Cottage Honka offers spacious accommodation for a group of up to eight people.
You can enjoy easy-going cottagelife in the cosy kitchen and living room. You can also admire a lovely sunset and a beautiful view over lake on the terrace outside.
