The beautiful countryside offers you wide-open views

The tourist farm is situated in Iitti, since 2005. In the yard of a farmhouse at 1868, you can find nowadays accommodation in quality holiday houses for 40 guests. The services of Lomakivi are suitable for families, sport and business groups and couple or individual travelers. Birthdays, memorial events, summer meetings and gatherings of hobby groups are organized in the farm.

In the vicinity of the farm there is a local settlement, Radansuu’s old village shop and Iitti’s church village. As a novelty for nature lovers, here is many nature trails around the Radansuu isthmus. The photogenic “the hill of Love” named by finnish Lemmenkukkula falls along the route, and one of Iitti’s many rock cliffs and via a long-stilt wood bridge leads to the interesting by old history graveyard island named Kalmusaari.

Three kilometers away is the summer season dance stage for fans on the Otter Rock named Saukonkallio. Some our guests arrived by boat, because near Lomakivi there are many boat landing spots.

Trotting horse Stable by Vilja Kivinen

In Lomakivi’s yard, you can watch horses being rehabilitated and trained up close. The windows of the holiday homes have a view of the horse stables and the training track. Vacationers can use the track for jogging. The kilometer-long track is maintained all year round. Lomakivi’s ponies can be brushed and tamed in the company of an adult. Horses are trained to listen to people in the round horse enclosure in the yard of the stable. Did you know that Holiday Stable’s horses and ponies eat organic hay from the farm?

Trainer Vilja Kivinen started holding a trotting horse stable in January 2022 at Lomakivi’s area. Vilja has a background in pony and horse trotting, training horses, teaching foals to ride and riding. The stable’s first foal, named Lewis Lit, was born in April 2022. Its dam, Hamilton Lady, is still monitoring the foal’s progress, although it has already been largely transferred to “uncle” Icelandic horse Noppa care.

Restaurant by the order – Birthdays and another family parties

The homely kitchen of Lomakivi is seasonal and features dishes prepared with organically prodused food. Breakfast is available by the preorder. We cater for private party, group event and business function.

Our restaurant has opened at 2006 in main building of the farm, built in 1868. The building has been moved to its current location from the old shanty village half a kilometer from the shore of Lake Urajärvi. Nowadays this farm is cultivated by its 13-14th generations together. We grow organic grain, mainly oats, wheat and horse hay.

Holiday Houses of Lomakivi

Lomakivi is member of Finnish hostel Association. We commit to international uniform standards. Lomakivi has certified HI Quality & Sustainability (HI-Q&S).
In the yard of a farmhouse in Iitti, you have possibility to find homely accommodation for 40 guests in quality holiday houses and Hostel rooms.

Hostel Tammitupa has four renting rooms with shared two bathrooms and a kitchen-livingroom. In summer season this is nice opportunity for cycling or joining nearby dancing events.

The services of Lomakivi are suitable for different groups, for example business and sports groups, families and also individual travelers. The cyclists find us in the summer months.

Equipment in renting houses

Houses are warm and wooden finnish log houses. Those are built between 2005-2009. Holiday houses are intended for personal use with three or four accommodation rooms. The wide of separate spring mattress beds are 80-90 cm. Bedlinen, towels are according to the number of beds. An extra bed is possible on the sofa in living room or the upstairs hall.

Houses are with good level of equipment in the kitchen. There is microwave owen, cooker, stove, bread toaster, dish washer, coffee maker, kettle, fridge, tableware according to the number of beds, baking paper, coffee filter bags, salt, garbage bags, compost bag, bedlinen, towels, toilet paper, soaps, shampoo, peflets of sauna, wood for fireplace, hair dryer, satellite TV.

Holiday houses has electric sauna and bathroom with shower. In the room next to the sauna is dressing room, clothes dryer and washing machine. All in houses has two toilets. Hostel building named Tammitupa isn’t sauna, but there is two shower rooms. It is possible to rent a sauna shift at an additional price, if a holiday home is available there.

Lomakivi has a barbeque house. It is built inside the log barn on the top of potato cellar. Building is 150 years old. It is situated near all holiday houses.
All our guests are wellcome to spend time there.

Free wi-fi is on the restaurant and garden area. Final cleaning is including in the price. We wellcome pets. They should be under the control of the owners throughout the visit.
