In Hiekkaranta, Central Finland, you can enjoy your stay in well-equipped holiday cottages located on a strawberry farm. The cottages are situated in a peaceful area surrounded by lakes and vast forests, offering excellent opportunities for various outdoor activities, including berry and mushroom picking.

The fish-rich lakes – such as Kannonjärvi, Enonjärvi, and Kivijärvi – are very popular among recreational fishers. Pike-perch and pike are common catches, and occasionally even a salmon might take the bait. Everyday worries are easily forgotten during an ice-fishing trip on a sunny spring day. The nearby forest and lake skiing tracks are an inviting option for cross-country skiers.

On warm summer days, the sandy beach and shallow waters of Lake Kannonjärvi provide perfect refreshment. The beach is also ideal for children learning to swim. A relaxing bath in the lakeside sauna will be the highlight of the day.

During the strawberry season, you must try the sweet and delicious strawberries straight from the field.

In Hiekkaranta Holiday Cottages, you are accommodated in high-quality cottages with year-round comfort. The cottages have all modern conveniences, electric heating, and fireplaces. Three cottages provide a total of 18 beds.

Kulmala cottage

Roundlog cottage: 77 m², terrace 8 m², built in 2004. Sleeps 4 + 2, electric heating and fireplace, tap water, 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each, open-plan kitchen + living room with 2 beds, WC, locker room, bathroom, electric sauna.

Equipment: dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, freezer, electric cooker, coffee maker, electric kettle, microwave oven, kitchen utensils and dishes for 8 people, TV, DVD, radio.

Beach: Lakeside sauna 6 m² with wood-burning oven, distance from the lake about 7 m, rowing boat, life jackets, jetty, sandy bottom.

Sini cottage

Roundlog cottage: 50 m², loft 15 m² and terrace 15 m². Built in 1992, renovated in 2011. Sleeps 4 + 2, electric heating and fireplace, tap water. Bedroom with 2 beds, loft with 3 beds, open-plan kitchen + living room, with 1-2 beds, bathroom/WC, sauna with wood-burning stove.

Equipment: dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, electric kettle, kitchen utensils and dishes for 8 people, TV, DVD, radio.

Beach: distance from the lake about 10 m, sandy bottom, rowing boat, life jackets, own little island with summerhouse.

Mikkilä cottage

Wooden house: 68 m² (terrace 10 m²), renovated in 2004. 2 bedrooms, open-plan kitchen + living room, bathroom/WC, electric sauna.

Equipment: electric heating and fireplace, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, electric kettle, cooking utensils and dishes for 8 people, TV, DVD, radio.

Lakeside sauna: 12 m², locker room and terrace, built in 2010, wood-burning stove

Beach: shallow, sandy bottom, jetty, rowing boat and life jackets. Distance from the terrace to water 10 m.
