High-quality, MALO-classified holiday cottages suitable for year-round living, located on the forested shores of Lake Pyhäjärvi at Näppilä Farm. A cozy, traditional countryside setting in Lempäälä, just 2.5–3.5 km from the town center, 25 km south of Tampere, 130 km from Turku, and 160 km from Helsinki. Convenient train connections with electric trains.

Each cottage is equipped with a sauna and shower, a fully furnished kitchen, and a private rowing boat. Almost all cottages include an indoor toilet and washing machine, and the larger ones also have a drying cabinet for clothes. Trees and bushes between the cottages provide natural privacy from neighbors.

The area offers excellent fishing waters, with guidance available for the best spots. Every cottage includes fishing rights, and the state fishing permit can be paid directly at the cottage. Nearby lies Toutosenselkä, reputed to be Finland’s best zander (pike-perch) fishing water.

The farm also features a separate yard lodge, a meeting and banquet venue for about 30 people. It is equipped with AV equipment, a fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, restrooms, an infrared sauna and shower, as well as upstairs accommodation for around 10 guests.

In addition, the farm has a restored historical large smoke sauna with a cooling-off room and a hot tub. Available for group rentals. Catering services can be arranged on request.

Pure Nature, Sparkling Snow, or Gentle Waves

Head out to catch the bounty of the waters! Laurila offers excellent fishing opportunities. The nearby Toutosenselkä is said to be Finland’s best zander lake. We’ll guide you to the right fishing spots, and a proper fishing trip can also be arranged. From your own jetty, you can go for a swim, row a boat, or simply sit and fish. In autumn, berries and mushrooms await eager pickers.

• Cruises with Hopealinja: step aboard at Lempäälä Canal (2.5 km from the cottages) and sail to Hämeenlinna or Tampere. A round trip to Visavuori in Sääksmäki, home to Emil Wikström’s studio museum and Kari Suomalainen’s pavilion, is a 5-hour cruise, available daily in summer.
• In Lempäälä you’ll find two dance restaurants, a pizzeria and cafés, quality grocery stores, Alko, a nature spa, and in summer, authentic Finnish outdoor dances.
• Nearby are several riding stables and schools, and the Hiisi Golf course just 4 km away, offering 9+6 holes, also suitable for beginners.

The Centuries-Old Cultural Landscape of Lempäälä

Find peace in the medieval stone Church of St. Birgitta. Stroll along Kuokkala’s charming museum lane with several museums, a restaurant, and a riverside park. Lempäälä also offers many events, including concerts and theater performances. Near the cottages lies Päiväniemi’s Iron Age burial site.

Laurila Holiday Cottages

All cottages have both hot and cold running water, suitable for domestic use but not yet for drinking or cooking. In the cottages Lahdenperä, Rinne, Valpuri, and Vuokko, the iron content of the water currently exceeds the recommended drinking and cooking water values. In the cottages Kallionkolo, Mäkiranta, Rantakallio, Sillankorva, Kotoranta, Aitta, and Pihapirtti, the requirement values for drinking and cooking water are currently exceeded due to surface water entering the well. Drinking water can be collected from the main building.

Sleeping bags are not allowed. Guests must bring their own bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, and towels) or rent them with the cottage. Linen rental is €10 per person.

Bringing dogs or other pets must always be agreed separately.

All holiday cottages are equipped with hot and cold water, a shower, a private sauna, a jetty, and a boat. Kitchens include a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, and cooker hood. (Note: Sillankorva does not have a dishwasher.) Trees and bushes between cottages provide privacy from neighbors.
