Celebrations at the Estate

We organise family and company with professionalism, according to your wishes. We plan the details of the celebration with you, after which you and your family can focus on what is most important – celebrating – while we take care of the practical issues. The Estate “dresses up” in its finest for your celebration, and truly enjoys arranging your party.

The atmospheric Estate and its garden milieu, with its diverse services, provide a uniquely lovely celebration location. In addition to a beautiful party location we offer high-quality accommodation, a variety of saunas and programme services.

When you want to continue your event the following day in old-style fashion, the core guests in your party are houses in the Estate’s guestrooms. Your celebration can combine dining and enjoying time together with sauna baths and programme services, for example riding, karaoke, a dance orchestra or pampering services – ask for more information.

Meetings in an inspiring milieu

The Taulu Estate offers a peaceful and beautiful environment to work efficiently. Conference rooms are well equipped.

Our location in the centre of Finland with good transportation makes the Estate a smart choice for companies with offices around the country. In Central Finland, only ½ hour from Jyväskylä toward Mikkeli and an hour from Mikkeli. Why spend time travelling further, when local travel is more efficient?

The areas you need are close to each other and working efficiency is bolstered by diverse options for group work in different rooms.

An inspiring programme is offered for a meeting-day holiday. How about the Estate’s ice curling or bow-hunting trail? Shared relaxation at the end of a work day, for example a sauna, creates a communal spirit and holds the group together in the evening.

Nature treks in Central Finland

In addition to the Estate’s own nature trail there are numerous nature sites nearby where you can go for a hike. The clean, safe natural environment invites you to exercise and experience nature’s benefits for wellness.

Bicycles are available for rent in the summer and snowshoes in the winter, along with various games like Frisbee golf and pétanque.

Nature experience from Taulu Estate to three national parks

Experience three days in three unique national parks of Middle Finland and stay overnight in Country Estate. The Taulu Estate represents local historical building tradition on it’s best ! The Estate is a cosy base wherefrom you go hiking and paddling to the surrounding national parks and return to relax in this beautiful milieu and sleep well your night in our unique guest rooms.

In Taulu Estate full board package you enjoy fine foods and local seasonal tastes, both while hiking in national parks and in Estate. Tours to national parks are guided by professional guides of Pistoretki.

The Estate’s saunas

The Estate’s sauna and Garden Spa in the main building and the Country Spa on the shore of Lake Hautajärvi (about 300 metres from the Estate) offer relaxation for our guests. Both saunas form their own enticing, relaxing entirety where you can enjoy lazy moments thanks to Finnish sauna baths.

Our restaurant serves all the saunas, and meals or an evening snack can be arranged at your pleasure.

Saunas areas offer a full selection of alcoholic beverages. We offer you a good selection of drinks. We invoice according to the amount consumed. Brining your own beverages is not permitted.

Garden Spa

The Garden Spa in the Estate’s main building is for those who love pampering.

The outdoor hot tub, on a garden terrace facing the evening sun. Enjoy the beauty of the garden and listen to birds sing from the warmth of the hot tub. And in winter time you experience the contrast of hot tub and cold, snowy nature. The tub features water jets that massage and relax your muscles.The spacious bathing areas have two showers and a hot tub. The sauna accommodated eights people.The fireside room with its hunting atmosphere has a beautiful natural flagstone floor, and your mind rests and relaxes beside the flickering flames.

Country Spa

Our smoke sauna and adjacent “Pihlajapelto croft” are located on the shore of Lake Hautajärvi, 300 metres from the main building. The sauna’s logs are from an old grain drying cabin from the 19th century.

The sauna benches accommodate about twenty people. There are also modern wash-rooms for both men and women.The Pihlajapelto croft is from an old smoke cabin built in the 1860s, whose dark walls tell the story of its genuine history. The croft’s cottage, with its black walls and roof, offers a milieu with genuine, old peasant spirit for an evening after a sauna or even for a meeting.

The distinctive Aroma Sauna is made from a genuine wine cask and accommodates four people. The Aroma Sauna is part of the Country Spa package and cannot be reserved separately.

There is a warm outdoor bathing pool in the yard, where 10-12 people can enjoy a relaxing soak. Pool caps are available to warm the heads of winter bathers. For ice swimming in the winter, we provide our guests with swimming slippers. In the summer we have a bathing beach and a boat.Sauna prices are three hours for 590 €, additional hours 50€/person.

The sauna can be used until 2:00 AM.

À la carte

Our à la carte restaurant with a full bar is open by advance reservation year-round.

Our buffet table offers fine foods and local, seasonal tastes for your occasion. Developing Finnish food culture and local foods is important to us. We want to highlight water fowl and forest game on our menus. Our restaurant also offers organic options.

On holidays (May Day lunch, Mother’s Day and Father’s day) the Estate serves a buffet. Seating times are published in the local newspaper and on our website. We recommend making reservations for our holiday buffets.

Summer restaurant

The Estate’s summer restaurant is open 29 June – 28 July from Monday to Friday 1:00 PM-8:00 PM (closed on Saturday and Sunday).

The summer restaurant’s à la carte menu includes light fare for lunch and more opulent options for main meals.

Accommodation at Taulu Estate

Our Summer Restaurant serves guests in July, other times meals for individual guests must be reserved in advance.

Estate house guest rooms

The shapes and interior designs of the guest rooms in the old house are all unique. The rooms are located in three buildings in the Estate’s courtyard, close to one another.

The Estate’s yellow main building has eight rooms, the red Wäentalo has five rooms and Alatalo has three that are suited for travelling with pets. Beauty and atmosphere are important to us and we believe you will enjoy your stay in our rooms.

All the rooms have conveniences including a private bathroom and flat-screen TV. Genuine antiques also give the interiors a special character.

Nature’s harmony at Villa Riihiranta

Villa Riihiranta is a small “villa” with one bedroom, located only 300 metres from the Estate but ensconced in its own peaceful privacy. The Estate’s summer restaurant serves the Villa’s customers and breakfast can be purchased at the Estate.

The Estate’s nature trail starts right beside the Villa, whose own bathing beach with docks and sheltered beaches let you enjoy nature with all the amenities of a hotel. A row boat is also available for use.

Villa Riihiranta offers all amenities indoors. A private sauna & wash-room and bedroom with a lake view, a front porch for relaxing and cooling off after a sauna. Riihiranta also has a refrigerator, water kettle and microwave. There is a small log pavilion on the shore with a small grouping for meals. The shore also has a campfire spot.

Villa Riihiranta price per day without breakfast 130 euros, with breakfast 160 euros.
